These somewhat clumsy, very muscular horses with beautiful 'socks' stood in the meadow near the village of Nisse. They are held in high esteem in Zeeland and are now mainly used for ring riding and the 'straô'.

The typical Zeeland groynes have been around for 500 years and are part of the cultural heritage. They slow down the effect of waves and tides and thus protect the beach. The painted pile (or beach) heads are located between Zoutelande and Dishoek on the southwest side of Walcheren. A heavy downpour was approaching.

The little harbour on the Oosterschelde is located between Wissenkerke and Colijnsplaat. Until the 80s in use as a sugar beet harbour. The inner dike Oyster pit ('Oesterput'} is a water body ('inlaag') with breeding birds and the harrier.

The Deesche Watergang is a wetland area between Goes and Kattendijke. It consists of a salt marsh, a creek remnant with reed edges and meadows. It is a breeding and resting place for many birds.
